Student workshops

To have the greatest impact, students need interactive, peer-discussion workshops that actively engage them in learning. MEC offers high-energy, student-focused sessions ranging from whole grade 60-minute “mini-assemblies” to small group half-day seminars. All workshops include hands-on activities, scenario-based learning, and student-led discussions to make learning meaningful and relevant.

Designed to fit seamlessly within PBIS Tier 1 and social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks, all student workshops support district-wide efforts to prevent bullying and foster a more positive school culture.

The scaffolded curriculum of the mini-assemblies, tailored to grade-level developmental needs, focuses on fostering empathy, respectful communication, and meaningful peer relationships for a proactive, school-wide impact.

Popular topics include the impact of language, allyship, and anti-bullying strategies, but sessions can be customized to address any topic relevant to your students and school community.

Educator Professional Development

To be most effective, educators need professional development that is interactive, relevant, and directly connected to their daily teaching. Each workshop begins with a pre-session needs assessment to ensure the content completely addresses your school’s priorities.

Sessions include scenario-based activities, small-group discussions, and insights into current trends in education, making the learning both practical and relevant. Every session concludes with ready-to-use strategies that educators can immediately implement in their classrooms.

These customized workshops equip teachers and school leaders with effective tools to foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment where every student can stay engaged, feel valued, and thrive.

Our workshops are designed to be adaptable to each school’s needs. Popular topics include strategies to minimize bullying, language trends, and incident response, but sessions can be tailored to address any topic relevant to your professional development interests. Workshop lengths can range from 1-to 6-hours based on your availability and goals.
